Christine Paciero

Christine Paciero is entering her 4th year as the Athletic Director at Oakton College and her 5th year overall, as she
began her stint here as the Athletic Academic Support and Compliance Specialist.

Previous to Oakton, from 2011-2016 she was the Head Volleyball Coach and Senior Women’s
Administrator at NCAA D2 UW-Parkside. The Rangers experienced great success stringing together 4
consecutive winning seasons which hadn’t been accomplished since 1990. Academically, her teams
were recognized by the ACVA 4 straight years and won the Parkside Provost Award for having the
highest GPA among all Parkside’s athletic teams.

Before Parkside, Paciero had a highly successful stint as the Head Volleyball Coach and Athletic Events
Manager at Dominican University a NCAA D3 institution in River Forest, IL. Paciero led a remarkable
turnaround at Dominican that culminated with the program’s first conference tournament
championship and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2010. She inherited a squad that finished 9-20 prior
to her arrival in 2008 and promptly led them to the school’s first volleyball regular season conference
championship two years later. Her efforts earned her Northern Athletic Conference Coach of the Year awards in both 2009 and 2010.
Paciero’s success at Dominican expands beyond the court as the program was honored with the AVCA
Team Academic Award both her final two seasons with the 2010-11 team boasting a 3.50 grade point
average.

Christine spent 10 years teaching high school social studies while simultaneously coaching volleyball at
the collegiate, high school and club levels. She was an assistant coach at Wayne State University, an
NCAA Division II member in Detroit, Mich. There she helped the Warriors to two division championships
and three twenty-win seasons. She also spent time as an assistant coach at Schoolcraft Community
College in Livonia, Mich., where the program reached the round of 16 at the NJCAA national
tournament.

Paciero enjoyed great success as a player as well, matriculating from NCAA D2 Florida Southern College
in Lakeland, Fla. There, she won two regional championships including one Final Four appearance for
AVCA Hall of Fame Coach, Lois Webb. She began her collegiate career at Schoolcraft where her team
won the NJCAA national championship, during a time in NJCAA history when there was only 1 division.
Paciero earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida Southern in Social Studies education. She received
her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
