Oakton Men's Basketball begins their 2022-23 campaign tonight and are looking to build on last season's strong finish returning nine sophomores.
Keimar Marable (Riverside), who was all conference and all region last season, returns to the backcourt along with
Chuck Owens Jr. (Riverside) and
DJ Shower (DePaul Prep).  All-conference performer
Delon Zollicofer-White (Milwaukee Academy of Science) returns for a diverse and productive stable of forwards including
Thomas Sullivan (New Trier),
Alan Kurshumov (Bulgaria),
Omar Khan (Niles North),
Yunus Yilmaz (Notre Dame) and
Georgie Connor (New Trier).

Newcomers include versatile guard
Isaiah Moore (Evanston), experienced guard
Moses LeBlanc (Niles West), shooters Alan Conner (New Trier),
Bobby Gray (Grant),
Kyle Rieger (Maine South), and athletic forward
Avery Allen (Evanston).

This year, the men not only are looking to find success on the court, but also in the classroom. Head Coach
Mick Reuter says, "We hope to continue the program's success in the classroom returning three Academic All-Americans and six Academic All-Conference players."

Reuter and Assistant Coach,
Louis Walker, are looking forward to what this year will bring with a more experienced team. "This group continues to grow because of sophomore leadership, a selfless attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to invest in each other. I'm excited and proud to watch our continued development on and off the court," states Reuter.

The men will play at 7 p.m. tonight at home versus Harry S. Truman College after the women's game concludes.
