Oakton Owls Win Region 4 Championship
The Oakton Owls baseball team continues its postseason run after clinching the 2025 NJCAA Region 4 Division III Championship!
The Owls began regional play on May 8 with a strong showing against the College of DuPage, winning their opener. After falling in their first matchup against Joliet Junior College, Oakton rebounded with a decisive win over DuPage to earn a spot in the championship round.
Facing Joliet once again, the Owls won game one behind a dominant pitching performance from Owen Jenkins, who was later named Region 4 Division III Most Valuable Player. The final game proved to be a postseason classic, going into extra innings before Ricky Collazo launched a walk-off grand slam to clinch the title for Oakton.
Head Coach Bill Fratto, was also honored as the Region 4 Division III Coach of the Year.

With the regional title in hand, the Owls now advance to the NJCAA Division III Great Lakes District Championship, hosted by Oakton College and held at Triton College in River Grove, IL. They will face Owens Community College from Perrysburg, Ohio, with a trip to the NJCAA Division III World Series on the line.

The winner of the best-of-three series will earn a bid to the 2025 NJCAA Division III World Series, held May 24–29 in Auburn, New York.
