Steven Brody is in his 21st year as the Owl’s Men’s Soccer Head Coach. Since taking over as the head coach of the men’s soccer team in 2000, Coach Brody has built the Owls into a national powerhouse. During his tenure, the Owls have posted an overall record of 216 – 112 – 25.
Under Coach Brody, the men’s team has won the NJCAA Region IV title twice in 2010 and 2012. Coach Brody’s squads also won the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference title in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009, and 2010, 2011, and 2014. Coach Brody was named the NJCAA Region IV Coach of the Year three times and the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year seven times. Steven was also named the Skyway Conference All-Sports Men’s Coach of the Year in 2010.
Outside of Oakton, Steven helped lead the Illinois State Soccer Association Men’s State Select Team to consecutive United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) national championships in 2007 and 2008.
Coach Brody earned his B.A. in history and political science from Northern Illinois University, where he played his collegiate soccer, and earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from the Northern Illinois University College of Law.
He lives in Des Plaines with his wife Nina, their ten-year-old old son Jack, their dog Nutmeg and their cat Stryker.
