Tony Siriscevich Head Shot 2020

Tony Siriscevich Jr.

Tony Siriscevich started coaching at Oakton in 2020 as the Head Women's Basketball Coach. Coach Siriscevich says he enjoys coaching at Oakton Community College because of demonstration of professionalism and support systems in place for student athletes.

Tony played basketball at Morton College from 1989-1991 and then at Rockford College in 1991. Along with basketball, Tony was on the Men's Golf tem at Morton College during the 1991 season. He also has been named an All-American in 16-inch softball four times.

Coach Siriscevich began his coaching career at Francis Parker High School in Chicago as the head boys basketball coach from 1994-1998. He moved to Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart and coached the girls team from 1999-2001. Tony then returned back to Francis Parker and saw wonderful success there from 2002-2008. Most recently, in 2019 Tony was the Assistant Men's Coach, Recruiting Coordinator, and Head Men's JV Coach at East-West University in Chicago.

Coach Siriscevich brings a wide array of coaching accomplishments to Oakton. As head coach of the boys basketball team at Francis Parker School, Tony led them to the 1997-1998 Regional finals. Then at Josephinum Academy of the Sacred Heart, he led the girls basketball team to two regional finals and two GCAC championships in the span of three seasons from 1999-2001. Between 2002-2008, Tony amassed coaching achievements at Francis Parker School such as: two-time Independent School League Coach of the Year, two-time Sportsmanship Award, two ISL conference championships, four regional championships, and two-time sectional finalists. During the 2007-2008 season, Coach Sirirscevich led the Francis Parker boys team to a 51-6 record. In 2019, Tony improved the men's team at East West University from four wins to fourteen wins. Coach Siriscevich has a very impressive list of coaching accomplishments, so it's no surprise that while at Oakton, Tony has restarted the Women's Basketball program and added eighteen girls to his team in his first sixty days!

Tony is also very proud of the success of his former players. He's seen several athletes play at colleges such as DePaul, Virginia, Tulane, Bellevue University, Pomona College, Williams College, and St. Joseph's. Former athletes of his have also played overseas in Australia and the Dominican Republic.

Tony earned his Associate degree of Liberal Arts & Sciences from Morton College in Cicero, IL. He earned his Bachelor's in Law Enforcement Management from Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting, IN.

Coach Sirscevich's coaching philosophy stems on the basis of system, structure and communication. His favorite quote is, "Pain is temporary, pride is forever."
